Favorite Photographs

In college I majored in Communications, with an emphasis in photography. While those dark room days are long behind me (I have converted to digital), I have some favorites.  The first I call "Jack". There was no Photoshop in those days, and so this photo was accomplished the old fashioned way.  We carved a pumpkin, cut it in half, and had a friend hold it in front of his face.  This happens to be the only photo I have of this particular college friend!

 When my husband and I were first dating, we would sometimes go to the horse races at Santa Anita.  One of my favorite race track shots was this one, taken of Cougar II.

One of my favorite portraits of my father, Walt Johnson, was this one I took while I was still in college.  It is also my mother's favorite.
